A flexible cystoscopy is performed in an outpatient treatment room. It is a diagnostic endoscopic procedure using a thin, flexible cystoscope inserted via the urethra to examine the bladder and urethral lining.
It is commonly performed to investigate haematuria (blood in the urine), urinary frequency, dysuria, or suspected bladder pathology. The procedure enables direct visualisation of tumours, strictures, inflammation, stones, or other abnormalities.
